Villars
Imagine a train ride through the Swiss Alps, seeing the cows graze through the grass, the rivers running between brick-houses and the greenery overwhelming your eyes. This is the home of where quality chocolate is made. This story of chocolate-making history since 1901 is transformed into a visual story that brings out the essence of this chocolate brand and where it came from. A revamp of the famous existing chocolate brand: Villars
Brand Concept
Villars is a Swiss chocolate brand founded in 1901 in a city called Fribourg in Switzerland. To make it stand out from the rest of the competition, I wanted to highlight and capitalize this long-standing history of the brand and showcase the pride of where it came from. Through this idea, I illustrated a cityscape of the city of Fribourg while also crafting this unique emblem at the top which features the Swiss flag placed inside an embroidered-like patch inspired by those found on the leather handles of the Swiss cow bells. They're also adorned by golden edelweiss flowers and leaves – also typically found on the Swiss Alps. The gold-foil effect elevates the brand and gives it that luxurious touch to further tie into the brand story.
